Cave Creek is a town in Maricopa County, Arizona, United States. It is 27 mi northeast of Phoenix. According to the 2020 census, the population of the town was 4,812. However, the general area also includes unincorporated county islands that are neither Cave Creek or Phoenix as well as areas in North Phoenix and North Scottsdale that are drawn into the Cave Creek Unified Scool District. Thus, the overall population of the general area tops out around 29,000 combined.

The town has no primary property taxes assesed by the town as well, making it a desired location for many. Because of this, on a million dollar home, one can see their property tax bix be up to $1,000 LESS than in neighboring North Scottsdale for a similar home.  This helps contribute to a slightly lower cost of living for residents of Cave Creek and the unincorporated County Island in Cave Creek.  

Despite no primary property tax, Cave Creek boasts some of the highest performing schools in the State of Arizona and a very low crime rate.
